The importance of “finishing”

In Uncategorized on November 7, 2011 at 9:47 am

Why do I always have the urge to ponder upon interesting thoughts while I am at work? I don’t get it. Anyway, it’s been an extremely bright start to this week. I mean, I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but I love it when it’s really bright out as I wake up every morning. I know it also means that it’ll be dark before I make it back to my apartment tonight, but that doesn’t matter, the day that begins on a fresh and bright note has the tendency to end on a similar note :).

I’ve been thinking about how many things we start on a daily basis without taking the initiative to end them. A lot of times we change our minds and choose not to finish due to the fear of the end product not living upto our or someone else’s expectations. In today’s world, people look at you as a product of success or failure. Or as I like to call it, “you are what you finish”. And if you don’t finish anything, nobody knows who you are. You probably don’t even know who you are. As negative/dramatic as it sounds, it’s very true. What you finish in a sense defines your identity, hence, an unclear identity equals an unclear purpose and life is pretty terrible without a purpose. Everyone can talk the talk but it’s time to walk the talk, let’s make a promise to take charge and finish what we start. 🙂
