Happy December

Christmas is almost here. I am not a huge fan of Christmas, mainly because we don’t celebrate it at home and also because it’s one of the many commercialized holidays in America, a day on which most Americans either feel obligated or pressured to buy some form of tangible (or intangible) items for those they love/care for and at times they’ll even go out and buy stuff for those they don’t care for, simply because they have to. It sucks. I hate it. I mean, I don’t hate Christmas but I just hate the idea of having to get presents, just because it’s Christmas, and then the idea of getting presents just because you have to. Why do we make relationships an obligation. Is “responsibility” just a better way of saying “obligation”? Makes me wonder…
